County Council Elections were held across Dorset yesterday. In Mid Dorset and North Poole there were six seats being contested, and the Conservatives made an overall gain of one seat.
Robin Cook won in Wimborne Minster with an increased majority of nearly 100. Peter Wharf won in Egdon Heath, which includes Bere Regis, Bloxworth and Morden. His majority was nearly 300.
Michael Tomlinson, Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Mid Dorset and North Poole said, "I am delighted that Robin and Peter won on Thursday. I look forward to working alongside Robin and Peter and ensuring that the good work of the County Council continues in Dorset."
