A rally was held at Wareham Middle School with concerns being raised by local residents at the proposal to sell of school playing fields.
Cllr Dean Hutton attended together with District Councillors Barry Quinn and Paul Johns. They were shown a plan of the proposed sale and how it would affect the playing fields.
Michael Tomlinson also attended the rally. He commented, "I am very concerned about the proposal to sell off this land. I am of the view that school fields should not be sold off as a matter of principle. Sport is a vital part of our children's education and we should be encouraging them and all those in our community to play more sport. I will look at the proposals for alternative and replacement facilities with care."
