The Boundary Commission for England conducted a public hearing at the Royal Bath Hotel in Bournemouth.  Submissions were made by Cllr Nick King, who commented both on the proposals for the new Blandford and Wimborne seat and on the proposals that affect his own ward in Bournemouth.  Michael Tomlinson, Chairman of Mid Dorset Conservatives, also gave evidence about the new seat of Blandford and Wimborne.  He welcomed the creation of the new seat, but proposed that the new seat be called "Mid Dorset".
