Significant changes are being proposed by the Corfe Hills School governing body. Subject to the outcome of a consultation process, an application will be made to change the age range of pupils from 13-18 to 11-18.
This would be a big change, not only for Corfe Hills, but also for other schools in the pyramid, both in Poole and in East Dorset.
Michael Tomlinson, who is a governor of another school locally said, "I attended a consultation meeting this evening at Corfe Hills School. Corfe Hills is an excellent school. I have worked there with the Dorset Young Enterprise and it is clear that the school is happy and thriving. However, these changes are significant and will affect other schools in the area. I encourage all parents, grandparents and concerned residents to respond to the consultation process.
“You can respond online: http://www.corfe-hills.dorset.sch.uk/news-article.asp?id=50. Hard copies can be returned by post to: Corfe Hills School, Higher Blandford Road, Broadstone, Dorset BH18 9BG.
“I would like to hear from as many residents as possible about your views. Please let me know what you think about the proposals: [email protected]”
